“Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious.”
― Ruth Reichl
I love that there are new restaurants popping up all over grand Rapids, and recently I have been hearing about Ginza Sushi and Ramen Bar. You guys know me pretty well by now, I love a good local restaurant to support + enjoy! When I heard about Ginza it was quickly added to my MUST-TRY list
I don’t know about you, but upon arriving to new a place I have a small checklist running in the back of my mind which helps me decide whether or not the place is worth coming back to. To my delight there was EASY and FREE covered garage parking behind the restaurant. This was a big bonus in my mind. And if you are local here to Grand Rapids you are aware that parking is becoming more + more difficult as meters are being added all over town.
Walking in, there is a large immaculate space filled with both bright and earthy tones. The beautiful high ceilings and windows gave the illusion of the restaurant being larger than it was but still very inviting.
I had the privilege to meet up with some of my friends for a night out to try some yummy dishes. We were greeted + served with the utmost care all evening long.
We ordered several appetizers like edemame + gyoza to share. Then we each one by one ordered different entrées, so we could all try something new. We spent the evening laughing, taking in the art of each entrée + sharing bites from each other’s plates. Below are some images of the delicious food we ordered. Do you think we order enough? Lol.
Every dish was a work of art, not only for our palettes but for our eyes. It was truly remarkable the amount time these chefs put into plating the dishes for our enjoyment.
I seriously cannot rave enough about this place. 1. I believe they may have the most incredible ramen in town. You have to try their seafood Champion Ramen. Exquisite. 2. You cannot beat their prices for the amount of food you receive. 3. They are kid-friendly (this is a bid deal for this mama). I will for sure be coming back with my little ones to try out their kids Bento Boxes. Have you ever heard of these before? Well, it’s definitely the way to go. You pretty much get a little bit of everything without having to buy everything. Below is a picture of their adult lunch bento. So cute right?
So if you are on the hunt for a great new spot to check out! Please give this place a TRY. I promise they will not disappoint. They have everything from ramen bowls, sushi, poke bowls, and hibachi.
