I don't know about you, but I love having a "to-do" list or "goals" because it pushes me to not stay stagnant in life. I want to always be striving to improve + grow + learn. Now, you may be someone who thinks goals are pointless or when you make them you totally forget about them. I get it, my kids + life make me forget a lot of things, but they are also the reason why I think its important.
Goals allow you to prioritize where your time + energy should go, regain focus, figure out where your resources should pull, and ultimately eases your mind of stress. Many times I feel like I haven't accomplished much for the month, sometimes its because I never wrote anything down so I don't have anything to look back at, but the other is not pushing myself to do or change anything from my normal habit.
I say all this because I need MONTHLY goals to push myself. In the beginning of every month I will share with you what my monthly goals are and then will review them next month along with my new list. Sharing my goals with you gives me accountability to actually do them, please feel free to share your goals with me so we can do it together.
Declutter the Basement // Since moving into this home back in November I have ignored my messy basement but since pool season is upon us + people will be walking in + out of the basement. I figured its time to make some progress down there. Wish me luck! It gives me some anxiety going down there.
Photograph 2-3 People or Businesses // I can't get better at photography without practicing so this is to push me to get out + practice practice practice
Yoga 2x a week // I always feel so much better when I integrate yoga into my weeks. Its become more difficult to find time slots at the Y that actually work with my schedule, but its just a matter of making it a priority.
Read 2 Books // This one makes me nervous. haha. If you remember I shared on my "hello" post about how I don't really like to read, but I also don't try to make time to read either. But I have several books laying around my house that I actually want to read. So hear goes to not falling asleep the minute I start looking at words on a page.
I'm keeping it fairly low-key this month since this is MONTH #1 of Goal Setting, but its enough that it will get me moving. What are your May Goals? Please feel free to share them down below in the comments!
